Service of gasoline injectors

The addition to the diesel injectors workshop is the gasoline injectors service station. For this type of injectors there's no technology of repair or internal spare parts. There are parts available but only simple ones, such as o-rings, filters, caps. For this reason, petrol injection service is limited to ultrasonic cleaning with current steering during the cleaning, cleaning with chemical detergent, back flushing and spray pattern testing with a control of injection doses.

This device services gasoline injectors both with multiple point injection and throttle-body injection. It's dedicated for injectors mounted in the intake manifold. For direct injection see bottom of the page.

Device includes an external ultrasonic bath. The process of cleaning is performed with the current signal put to the injectors. After this the back flushing is done to remove any dirt which residue inside of the injector. The testing procedure consists of the quality test of spray pattern, leak test and comparative test of injected doses.
 
Because of the similarity of the gasoline low pressure injectors to the CNG or LPG injectors their servicing is also possible on the GS4 unit.
The device is equipped with a metal portable stand.
The device can also be configured for 8 injectors.
Warranty: 2 years.

Carbon Tech GS4 also has the possibility of servicing electromagnetic gasoline direct injectors  eg. the TSI engines, however, testing takes place only at low pressure. Device can't work with piezo injectors like from BMW. For this type of injectors we recommend Carbon Zapp GD1R or GDU2R device - see below.
 
Carbon Zapp GDU2R

Device for servicing electromagnetic and piezoelectric gasoline injectors with direct injection. In addition to the ultrasonic cleaning process is performed chemical cleaning inside of the injector. The device tests the spray pattern and injection doses with pressure ranges from 30 to 550 bars. Built-in dynamic weight measurement system allows for comprehensive assessment of the injector.
GDU2R can print measurements. It checks also electrical parameters of injectors, including resistance, inductance, capacitance.
Its structure and functions are based on the device for diesel CR injectors Carbon Zapp CRU2R.
The device has a built-in tablet with Android system.

The device can be equipped with a piezoelectric response sensor and adapters for the injectors of the latest design.

Inside of the machine there is installed a low pressure pump (10 bar). This also allows a test of indirect injectors, however, this option should be considered as an additive. More functionality in the range of the traditional injectors is obtained on GS4 device. Therefore, for full service of petrol injectors the workshop must be equipped both in the GS4 and GDU2R.

What's new
- From 09.2016 GDU2R has a new feature called revitalization of a piezo stack of Siemens VDO injectors from BMW No. 10181010. It forms piezostack again, and most of the injections reaches the correct dosage parameters.

Device with similar features, as GDU2R, in addition it tests up to 4 injectors at the same time. It can also regenerate 4 Siemens piezostacks at once.
GDU4R can't have chemical cleaning system, only GDU2R has. Its construction and features are based on well-known Carbon Zapp CRU4R device for diesel injectors.
GDU4R device has a built-in tablet with Android.

Carbon Zapp GD1R


Carbon Zapp GD1R is a simplified version of the device for gasoline direct injectors. Simple tests of injectors are based on a static weight measurement of injection doses. It works with maximum pressure of 300 bars and the regulation in done manually by regulating knob. GD1R because of its low price and simplicity can be regarded as the first device for the customer in the GDI business or can serve as an initial test platform in order to eliminate the major injectors failures like external leakage etc. It can also be used in car workshops for the first assessment of the injectors.

For complex diagnostic, servicing and testing of GDI injectors we recommend GDU2R or GDU4R machines.
