Carbon Zapp UIPR-A attachment
An attachment device for the base
units like CRU2R or DS2R for
cleaning and preliminary testing of
unit injectors:
▪ Bosch 1st and 2nd generation from
the VW Group
▪ Siemens piezoelectric from the VW
Group
▪ unit injectors from trucks for
example Scania, Volvo, Iveco.
UIPR replaced the previous model
UA2i, it has a lot more features
primarily in the field of database
for unit injectors.
You can also use the unit attachment
with the CRU4R, but without the
possibility of cleaning of unit
injectors
(no cleaning system in CRU4R).
UIPR-A attachment operates in much
the same way, both with CRU2R and
DS2R, as it focuses mainly on cleaning of unit injectors, and
both base units perform them in a
similar way. The differences arise
from the accuracy of the measurement
of the base unit:
- volumetric tubes with DS2R-A
- electronic advanced with CRU2R
Carbon Zapp UIPR had world premiere
at the Automechanika fairs in
Frankfurt in September 2014 and
replaced the older model Carbon Zapp
UA2i.
The optimal solution is to equip the
lab in independently standing CRU2R
device and a set of machines DS2R
with UIPR-A or standalone UIPR-S
device - more info in the bottom of
this site. Thanks to this
productivity increases. While on the
set of DS2R with UIPR-A unit
injectors cleaning is performed, at
the same time Common Rail injectors
can be serviced on CRU2R. Equipment
of the lab can be restricted to a
set of CRU2R with UIPR-A (no
purchase of DS2R or no standalone
UIPR-S). This solution reduces the
performance of the work, because on
one set of devices at one time can
be serviced only one injector or
unit injector. When customers would
provide for cleaning, for example
three sets of unit injectors in one
day, the execution of any work with
Common Rail injectors will be
blocked and will be able to take
place at a later date, first
cleaning, then testing. The
restriction of DS2R purchase
described above does not cause
diagnostic loss of the workshop,
however, thanks to its simple
construction it is often used in the
initial diagnosis of the injectors.
Equipment can be configured yet in
another way, using the
standalone
device UIPR-S - more info at the
bottom of this site.
UIPR-A attachment device is equipped
with a pressure regulator of
calibration oil or chemical
detergent. By using the knob on the
pneumatic actuator a stroke is set
in mm.
Carbon Zapp's UIPR-A attachment
performs the following tests:
▪ test for electrical parameters
▪ test the injection doses at
several points of the load
▪ BIP signal after equipping it in
the external BIP sensor
▪ response time of the injection
after equipping it in the external
RSP sensor
It is possible to test injection
spray pattern in a specially
prepared for this glass cylinder.
There are many unit
injectors adapters that can
be purchased separately. The
most popular are: the VW
1-gen, VW 2-gen, Scania,
Volvo, Iveco.
In the offer there are also
many other models, including
unit pumps from PLD
injection systems.
The device has additional
equipment, including metal portable
stand.
Warranty: 2 years.
Please note! UIPR-A attachment
device is used for the professional
cleaning of unit injectors.
Attachment has built-in testing
features which are very helpful in
the diagnosis of damaged unit
injectors, however, are not
sufficient to provide complete
testing of these components
especially from commercial vehicles.
Repair and full testing of the unit
injectors from passanger cars and
trucks is done using the EPS 815
test bench with Cambox device. UIPR
attachment is used in this case in
the first place to clean and test
the unit injector. Then cleaned unit
after initial verification, goes to
the EPS 815 test bench to the
electronic examination of its
parameters which reffers to the
database provided by Bosch company.
Unit injector tested on a test bench
is driven by a cam built into the
inside of the Cambox. This makes it
possible to obtain appropriate
frequency of unit injector work. Not
without a significance is also the
unit injector's section operating in
this way.
Carbon Zapp UIPR-S standalone device
UIPR-S is an independent
device working as the UIPR-A
attachment, but UIPR-S
doesn't require the base
unit. This is a completely
new device on the market (premiere
September 2014). The
hydraulic system is builded
inside of the UIPR-S device.
The kit includes TCCMR
controller with electronic
weight measurement. Simplified electronic weight
measurement is sufficient for
initial testing of the unit
injectors, because due to the lack
of technological possibility of
testing pilotage doses only in unit
injectors (it is created
mechanically prior to main dose,
does not have the ability to produce
only the pilotage dose) the accuracy
of the measuring system in the dose
range of idling and higher is
sufficient.
A TCCMR device as standard equipment
controller for UIPR-S has a built-in
tablet with Android.
The device has the ability to
clean and
test the unit
injectors:
▪ Bosch 1st and 2nd generation of
the VW Group
▪ Siemens VDO, Continental
piezoelectric - VW Group
▪ unit injectors from trucks for
example Scania, Volvo, Iveco.
Carbon Zapp HUIR attachment or
standalone device
Carbon Zapp
produces also devices for
electronic controled
hydraulic oil piloted HEUI unit injectors used
mainly in large industrial
engines, pick-ups from U.S.A.
etc. There are both
attachments and standalone
devices. Due to the relatively small
market in Europe for this
type of injection system
more information is provided
only to interested customers.
More information about Carbon Zapp
devices can be accessed on the

The device UIPR, HUIR requires
the purchase of additional items
that were not presented in this
description. The complete equipment
is offered to interested customers
in the form of an offer.
